Social Media Marketing Internship

The Social Media Marketing Internship focuses on outreach and community engagement with an anti-oppressive lens. This is an opportunity to develop skills in nonprofit social media planning, content creation and analytics. The Intern will execute a campaign in coordination with a multi-channel engagement strategy. Through this internship, the Intern will leave prepared to execute social media strategy for small to medium sized organizations.

The internship is available for up to 120 hours over 12 weeks. The exact schedule will be determined cooperatively with the Intern. Applicants accepted on a rolling basis.

Everyone on the Music Project team adds value to our community including Interns. Additionally, we recognize that unpaid internships create barriers for many students. Therefore, this internship offers $18/hour in wages.

This program uses a hybrid model with on-site requirements dependent on the video production details. It is required that at least 50% of the weekly hours must occur between 10AM-6PM Monday through Friday.

Candidate requirements include:

  • Have an interest in mental health and/or social justice issues

  • Have an interest in social media trends

  • Have an entry level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts throughout various forms of outreach

  • Have a familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Drive

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and work with sensitive information

  • Access to a computer for technical/off-site work requirements
